The 2024 UT-TPA Tennessee State Press Contests Awards (Newsroom awards) Luncheon plans are set for Friday, July 19, at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Franklin, Tenn.

Tennessee Press Association also plans that same day to install its 2024-2025 president, who is slated to be Darrell Richardson, current TPA first vice president and general manager of the News-Herald, Lenoir City.

Newspapers and online news sites have already been notified of awards, but not placement, by email from TPA to  member editors that went out May 22. The event will be held at the Embassy Suites located at 820 Crescent Centre Drive, Franklin, Tenn. The Embassy Suites is offering a special rate of $189 plus parking for overnight guests for the night of July 18. Reservation link. The reservations may be made until the block fills or, if still available, as late as Friday, June 21.
