2017 Convention Schedule:

(as of 12/22/16)

TPA’s Winter Convention’s structure changed and Government Affairs is now the focus of the Winter
Convention. We will also be meeting on Tuesday and Wednesday. TPA asks every member publisher to plan to attend the Tuesday Opening Reception, to which all legislators will be invited. The concluding event will be a luncheon on Wednesday to which Governor Bill Haslam is invited to address attendees.

The abbreviated schedule will make it such that most attendees will need only one night of lodging.

3:30 p.m.   TPA Foundation Board of Trustees Meeting

reception, but we also ask you to extend a personal invitation to your state legislators. The TPA Government Affairs Committee also
encourages you to make appointments with your legislators while you are in Nashville.

8:00 a.m.   Legislative Matters (until 9:15 a.m.)—A status report for TPA member publishers and editors on issues that we face in the legislature.
